Bob Dorian was an American actor, magician, television host, and voice artist. He began his career as a stage performer, working in comedy, magic, and circus acts before becoming widely known as the original host of AMC's Matinee Classics, where he introduced thousands of classic films between 1984 and 2000. His acting credits include The Curse of the Jade Scorpion, Hollywood Ending, and the voice of Professor Knowby's tape recordings in Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, a role he reprised in the 2013 remake.
