Daryl Edwards is an American actor born on March 15, 1961, in New York City, where he was raised in Harlem. A graduate of New York City's renowned High School of Performing Arts, he continued his acting training at SUNY Purchase before beginning a professional career in theatre in the early 1980s. Over the past four decades, Edwards has built a respected career as a versatile character actor, appearing in numerous films and television series, including The Brother from Another Planet, Die Hard with a Vengeance, The Judge, The Americans, The Deuce, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Politician, and Manifest, where he portrayed NSA Director Robert Vance. In Marvel's Daredevil, he played NYPD Detective Carl Hoffman, a corrupt police officer secretly working for Wilson Fisk's criminal organization.
