Keith Anthony Walker (June 29, 1935 – December 30, 1996) was an American actor and screenwriter whose career combined on-screen performances with a successful body of work as a television and film writer. As an actor, he appeared in numerous television series throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including Mission: Impossible, Quincy, M.E., Fantasy Island, The A-Team, and Our House, while film audiences know him best for portraying Irving Walsh, the father of Mikey and Brand, in The Goonies (1985). Behind the scenes, Walker developed an equally notable career as a writer, contributing scripts to series such as MASH*, Emergency!, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, and The Fall Guy. He also wrote the screenplay for Free Willy (1993), one of the most successful family films of the decade. Although he appeared in relatively few high-profile acting roles, Walker earned lasting respect within the industry for his versatility and his contributions to both television and family cinema.
