Larry Lieber is an American comic book writer, artist and editor whose work played a significant role in the early expansion of Marvel Comics. Working closely with his brother Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, he scripted the first appearances of characters including Iron Man, Thor and Ant-Man in their original solo series. In addition to his writing, Lieber enjoyed a long career as an illustrator, most notably on Marvel's newspaper comic strips featuring The Amazing Spider-Man. His contributions helped establish many of Marvel's foundational characters and stories.
