Robert Peter Cohon, professionally known as Peter Coyote, is an American actor, author, and narrator whose career spans film, television, theatre, and documentary narration. He is widely recognized for his performances in films such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jagged Edge, Bitter Moon, A Walk to Remember, and Erin Brockovich. In addition to his acting career, Coyote has become one of the most respected documentary narrators in the United States, lending his voice to numerous productions, including many documentaries by Ken Burns, for which he has received Emmy Awards.
