Robert Van Kaphengst, also credited as Robert Clarke and Robert Van Kapherus, is an actor known for his work in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. During the production, he portrayed a Rebel dignitary at the Yavin medal ceremony and also appeared as an Imperial Navy trooper in scenes aboard the Death Star. Little verified information about his career outside Star Wars has been published, making his appearances in the original film his best-documented screen work.
