Robert G. Tapert is an American film and television producer best known for co-founding Renaissance Pictures alongside Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell. He produced The Evil Dead (1981), helping launch one of the most influential independent horror franchises in cinema. Tapert went on to produce successful television series including Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus and Ash vs Evil Dead. His career has made him a prominent figure in independent genre filmmaking and fantasy television.
