Rosemary Ann Harris (born September 19, 1927) is an English actress whose distinguished career has spanned theatre, film, and television for more than seven decades. A celebrated performer of classical theatre, she has been a prominent figure with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on Broadway, winning a Tony Award for The Lion in Winter (1966). Her film credits include Tom & Viv (1994), The Gift (2000), and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), in which she portrayed May Parker. Harris received an Academy Award nomination for Tom & Viv and is widely regarded as one of Britain's most accomplished stage and screen actresses.
