Simon Weiss (August 28, 1915 – August 29, 1983), professionally known as Simon Oakland, was an American actor whose career spanned film, television, and theatre. He became known for portraying authoritative and complex characters in films such as Psycho (1960), West Side Story (1961), The Sand Pebbles (1966), and Bullitt (1968). Oakland also starred as Dr. David Craig in the television series Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974–1975) and made numerous guest appearances in popular television shows. He is remembered as one of Hollywood's most dependable character actors of the 1960s and 1970s.
