Victor Morozoff, professionally known as Vic Morrow, was an American actor, director, and producer whose career spanned film and television from the 1950s to the early 1980s. He achieved international recognition for his starring role as Sergeant Chip Saunders in the television series Combat!, one of the most acclaimed war dramas of its era. Morrow also appeared in films including Blackboard Jungle, Bad Day at Black Rock, and The Blackboard Jungle, and directed as well as starred in A Man Called Sledge. He died during the filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie, an accident that led to significant changes in film safety regulations and production practices.
